Morikami Museum and Japanese Garden in Delray Beach

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Garden, which is located in Delray Beach, Florida, is a center for Japanese culture and a wonderful place for tourists to visit. Guests to the museum will find many different things that represent Japanese culture through a number of years, from galleries of artwork and authentic handicrafts, Japanese festivals, and tea ceremonies. Nearly everything in the museum is from what is known as the Meiji Period, which encompasses the years between 1868 and 1912. You can see many different types of works here, from scrolls, toys, woven baskets, and just about everything in between. Some of the most popular items in the museum are a ceramic sake flash from the city of Miyako, that features hand painted designs, and the end of a wooden beam carved to look like a mythological Japanese creature. You can also visit the beautiful gardens located on the grounds. They feature a variety of different style gardens from different periods in Japan. This museum is the best place to see authentic pieces of Japanese culture in Florida, and the Garden makes a wonderful area in which you can relax. If you are in the Delray Beach area, don’t miss this wonderful opportunity.
