My sister is having a baby soon (in January), and I’m so excited.  She tends to be the kind of person who votes Republican, shops at Walmart, and works 80 hours a week.  I’m hoping this baby will be my chance to change her mind about a few things.  For example, giving her organic baby gifts might help her think about the effects of chemicals on her precious new addition to the family.  I don’t know that it will get her to vote Independent, but maybe she’ll quit buying polyester and start thinking about the food she puts into her and her child’s bodies.
