You do not need to be all that rich in order to be able to afford a lock or a safe with a  biometric products  scanner. Fingerprint and handprint scanners in particular, are especially cheap these days. This is in stark contrast with a generation ago, where one often needed to be fabulously wealthy or part of some bloated government arm if they were to have access to these devices. New biometric products scanners are also quite reliable, in addition to being affordable. They can identify valid fingerprints or handprints so much more reliably than most of the old models of scanners, at prices much lower than were asked in previous years.
